Minutes from the Farragut Band Boosters Meetings
Call to order by President D. bates at 7:10 PM (19 attendees)
Directors’ Remarks: Ms Lewis
-Graduation is May 20, 2006 at Thompson Boling Arena. Students can drive.
-Marching Band Camp will be July 17-28, 2006, 9:00AM until 9:00PM. There will be three sessions daily, with lunch and dinner breaks. Morning and Evening sessions will be outside, afternoon session is inside.
-Summer sectional schedule will be announced.
-July 4th parade practice will be June 29, 30, and July 3 10:00-12:00 AM.
Meeting Minutes: M. Turner- V. Lawhon motioned that April Booster meeting minutes be accepted as posted on the web site. S. King seconded the motion.
Old Business
Golf Tournament: D. Bates stated that we still need a chair person for the golf tournament.
Band Banquet: May 12, 7:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church. There is a waiting list. About 315 people have purchased tickets. -Parent band practice time and date unknown. Ms Lewis will have Mr. Taylor place info on web site as it becomes available.
-Still need pictures for presentation to be used at banquet that D. Thrash is preparing. Pictures can be given to Jenna Thrash in the symphonic band.
Concession Stand: Need a chairperson for upcoming season.
Miscellaneous: Regal Cinema donated a pop corn machine to FHS Band. Still do not have it., need to check on it. -Maybe need to set up a portable concession stand near band /parents of visiting teams for easy access. Boosters will need to get permission from athletic director.
-Football Tickets sold by Boosters to band parents do not include Monday night games.
Final Comments: D. Bates-Try to get in touch with as many people as possible regarding committees and other booster position needs.
-Budget Meeting will be May 23, 2006 at 6:30 PM for Booster Executive Board Members.
