Secretaries Report Began @ 7pm
Patron Fund: Cameron Faircloth will be sending letters to previous donors and other businesses.
Publicity: Cameron Faircloth is waiting for pictures and will submit to the Farragut Press.
Suggestions were made to link Patrons websites to the Farragut Bands website for those who would like to be included.
Photography: Jeff Budge still has last years show available and will be putting together this years show.
Pit Crew: Ken Abbott reported that the stages are painted and repaired. He has 22 people signed to volunteer but still needs more.
Senior Night: Tina Heath will begin working on this.
Uniforms: Sheryl Rice reported that all were handed out.
Volunteer: Glenna Manning. To be handed out.
Website: Harry Hermann and Steve Taylor will keep updates posted when needed.
Secretary’s report will be read next meeting.
Treasurer’s report will be read next meeting. It was mentioned that all remaining jewelry was given to Susan Davidson in Student Affairs to be liquidated. All $$ sold for Football tickets will remain with the band.
Dance: Carol Schroeder reported that the dance was $15 over budget.
BBQ: Carol Schroeder reported that the BBQ made $330 profit.
OLD BUISINESS:
Vacant Offices: 3 positions still open.
The office of Vice President was filled by Jeff and Tina Budge. Motion to accept was made by Carol Martin, all voted yes , no opposition was made.
Concessions-Food Purchaser still needed
Uniform Co-Chair still needed to assist Sheryl Rice with Away games.

NEW BUSINESS:
Uniform Fundraiser: M. Boyce will serve on this committee.
October 9th is College Night and the Booster meeting will be moved to October 8th @7pm to discuss Fruit Sales.
Football Team offered to put Photos of band in their program and then give us 200 programs to sell. We would receive $5 profit from each program sold. Mr. Rogers said he couldn’t afford to give up any rehearsal time to get the photo shoots done as the photos would need to be done by August 17th. Band boosters took a pass this time.
DIRECTORS REMARKS:
Kids are making a good comeback. Thursday Aug 17th will be a short rehearsal. Mr Rogers will discuss the Myrtle Beach competition with Mr. Reynolds on Monday 8/29.
SPECIAL NOTE of INTEREST:
The Status 501c is being threatened after this year. A decision to turn all $$ that booster clubs make over to the schools and have them disburse as they see fit. This would be devastating to all the organizations that are run on their booster funds. Mr. Rogers urged all parents to send letters to Tim Burchett letting him know we do not want this. If the schools are wanting to follow these accounts more closely, they a recommendation of an “audit of accounts” could be done through each school.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by Mr. Taylor and Ms. Lewis seconded the motion.
