Minutes from the Farragut Band Boosters Meetings
Welcome and Call to Order by President, S. Nichols, at 7:01 PM (38 Attendees)
Informed attendees that band directors will not be attending this meeting due to other nightly commitments this week.
DVD Information, J. Budge: Discussed short term video vs. long term video.
Short term could include footage from marching season…games, garden concert, band room, exhibitions, the best of each. Long term, year book, still would be year end video which includes both marching and concert activities.
Picture file made available. Purchase form will be placed on band web site. Price $8.00 each. An exhibition video will be sold only to band student’s parents at FHS.
The East Tennessee Concert Band will be paying at Carnegie Hall this week-end. Several band members and area band directors participate in the concert band.
Secretary’s Report, M. Turner: Minutes on band web site. Paper copies of minutes were distributed upon request. C. Schroeder motioned to accept minutes as is and T. Heath seconded the motion.
Fruit Sale, M. Murphy: Good start. 75 students (21 teams) participated in Blitz Day. About $11,500 fruit sales. 961.50 collected in donations.
Dates to remember: Nov 17-Turn orders in (prefer orders be turned in as one instead of several small orders).
Dec 8-Fruit arrives at FIS, need help sorting at 4:30 PM. Large orders may be picked up after sorting.
Dec-9-All orders picked up at FIS.
Dec 9 thru 14 fruit delivered.
Dec 15-All money turned in.
Band Exhibition Report, S. Davy/C. Schroeder: Exhibition expenses about $3,000. Ticket sale at gate about $2600. Programs Sale ~ $210. Concessions sale ~$5174, Loss on T -shirts. Left over concessions sold to band parents at cost after the meeting. Will be placing order for exhibition video.
Patron Fund: C. Schroeder reported that $1255 has been collected.
Miscellaneous
S. Davy reported that 137 chick-fil-a calendars have been sold. Goal 500.
